Who we are
The Rainbow Bridge Vet is a mobile pet euthanasia service delivering compassionate end-of-life care in the comfort of your own home, allowing pets to be euthanised where they are most at ease. It is operated by Dr Laura Davidson MRCVS, a veterinary surgeon with over 17 years’ experience in small animal practice. The practice is based in Nottingham and serves Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.

Home euthanasia for pet dogs, cats and rabbits
This is a 2-step technique that utilises sedation to relax and calm your pet prior to euthanasia.
Cremation services
Cremation services, with or without the return of ashes, are available and will be discussed at the time of booking.
Out-of-hours visits
Out-of-hours visits may be possible on a case-by-case basis.
When the time comes
Unfortunately, death is something all pet owners have to face at some point in their pet’s life. Very few animals pass peacefully in their sleep and we are therefore faced with making the decision to end their suffering. I passionately believe in making the end to life as peaceful as possible and I aim to provide a stress-free experience for all my patients, as well as for their owners. I hope you will entrust me to help your pet pass peacefully over the rainbow bridge.
Prices inclusive of vat
The cost for a visit varies by weight and time of appointment (evening/weekend visits are subject to a 25% surcharge over weekday rates). Prices start from £250 for cats/rabbits and £260 for dogs. A total cost for the visit will be agreed at the time of booking.
Quality of life appointments from £60 for a telephone consultation.
Cremation costs start at £50 for routine cremation without the return of ashes. For an individual cremation with the return of ashes, the costs start at £210 and vary dependent on your wishes. I am also happy to advise of local crematoriums if you would prefer to make your own arrangements.
